If their demands are not met, they will take extreme measures, say citizens

After Melitón Reyes Larios , mayor of the municipality of Camerino Z. Mendoza , asked the Veracruz Congress for his support so that the National Guard could enter to protect the area due to the wave of violence , residents joined the petition.

By means of a petition request , Governor Cuitláhuac García was asked to issue an emergency declaration for the municipality.

The document demands the collaboration of the federal and state government to send 150 more elements more that have already been sent, which are equipped with sufficient armaments and patrols.

The State Congress is also asked to intervene to authorize the creation of the Municipal Police and allocate the necessary resources to have a minimum of 150 elements working together with state and federal forces.

They asked the governor to instruct those in charge of the State Police and Civil Force to render monthly reports on security actions , and to rotate the current security personnel for new elements every six months, which must be replaced immediately , to focus on security tasks and apprehension of people who commit crimes.

Finally, the villagers demanded that their paper with their requests be sent to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador so that the necessary actions can be taken immediately; otherwise, they said, they will take extreme measures.
