HYUKOH Looks to Go Global With Its “24: How to find true love and happiness Tour”

Since releasing their debut project back in 2014, HYUKOH has become an amazing success both locally and globally. With the release of 24: How to find true love and happiness, the South Korean band comprised of Im Dong-geon, Lim Hyun-jae, Lee In-woo and enigmatic frontman Oh Hyuk has cemented its place as an international act.

Straying away from the gloomy tone found on their previous releases, the quartet looked to express cheerful themes of love and happiness through their signature poetic lyrics and calming melodies on their new project. Playing to its growing international fan base, 24 is comprised of six songs with full English lyrics and maintains HYUKOH's raw emotive style that has helped it stand out in the K-pop dominated music scene of Korea.

To accompany the release of their latest EP, last year the band launched an ambitious global tour. Split up into North America, Asia and Europe legs, the tour proved the global influence of HYUKOH with back-to-back sold-out shows leading into 2019. We caught up with the band in Hong Kong to just before they are to kick off the last Europe leg of their tour to learn more about their life on the road and explore the early experiences with music that have lead them to where they are now. Switching between English and Korean throughout the candid talk, the group subtly expresses the artistry synonymous with their music that has captivated a wide-spanning audience.

Catch our interview with HYUKOH above and stay tuned for everything the band has in store for 2019.
